🗓️When Will Genshin Impact 6.2 Drop?

Genshin Impact’s version 6.1 will immediately follow off of version 6.1’s second phase. This makes the release date for 6.2 land around early December, specifically the 2nd and 3rd depending on your region. This date is according to the usual 6-week schedule that Hoyoverse follows for all their gacha games, including Genshin. However, we’ll of course keep an eye out for any unexpected date changes. 😈Durin

Duirn, despite releasing in the newest version, is a character originating from Mondstadt. We’ve spoken about his potential introduction before, as he was always planned to release alongside the new Nod-Krai region. He was originally hinted and revealed in the Moonlit Ballad of the Night teaser video, and after lots of waiting, his appearance on a banner is finally confirmed and revealed for version 6.2.
🔥Element and Weapon Choice

Since Durin’s first appearance in the Moonlit Ballad of the Night teaser, fans were quick to learn that he is a Pyro user character. At the base tip of Durin’s tail, there’s a sign of Pyro vision on it. While this was originally a simple, but good theory, it’s not been confirmed through Hoyoverse’s official marketing. In said marketing, Durin is also shown to have a small, dagger-like sword in his right hand, which hints at him also being a sword user.
📚Durin’s Lore

Durin already has lots of lore to go over, including a mini-version of himself! Durin was created by Rhinedottir in Khaenri’ah and was considered one of the best before Albedo. He would eventually end up in Mondstadt, but he struggled to fit it with its people due to the inherit danger his presence brought. Durin would eventually be defeated in battle by Barbatos and Dvalin. This would leave Durin’s heart beating in a cave in Wyrmrest Valley.
But if Durin’s heart is left in Wyrmrest Valley, how is he here now? Well, one of Rhinedottir’s earlier creations took Albedo’s form ended up attempting to create clones of him. This was an attempt to kill the real Albedo and replace him. However, during the Shadows Amidst Snowstorms event in version 2.3 where you kill the clone, the body ends up morphing with Durin’s heart. This results in a chain of events that causes the new and original Durin bodies to merge and form into the one we know now.
🥽Jahoda

Jahoda is another character that appeared in the Moonlit Ballad of the Night teaser video, though she hasn’t gotten as much attention compared to Durin. Unlike Durin, she’s from the new region of Nod-Krai just like many other version 6.0 characters. She’s also part of a faction unlike Durin, which is ran by Nefer.
🍃Element & Weapon Choice

Jahoda is an Anemo and bow and arrow user, but it’s a little harder to determine this. For her element, this was easily discovered after the Archon Quests. Her Anemo element was also officially confirmed thanks to her splash art, which is featured with the classic green colors. As for her weapon choice though, this isn’t seen in either art or the Moonlit Ballad of the Night teaser. Instead, we got glimpses of this weapon in some gameplay clips from Hoyoverse themselves.
💵Jahoda’s Lore

In the Moonlit Ballad of the Night teaser, we see Jahoda hanging out in the Clink-Clank Krumkake Craftshop with Durin and Ineffa. This could imply her being an ally for these characters or the craftshop. Also, in the Song of the Welkin Moon Archon quests, it was also revealed that she worked as part of the Curatorium of Secrets, which is led by Nefer.
The Curatorium of Secrets has their own set of quests that players can go through. These quests help us learn more about the faction, and how its actually a sort of business! Jahoda makes several comments about making more profits through customers over holding secrets. With Jahoda now becoming a playable character, we’ll likely hear more about this faction and its members soon.
